Cầu Trường Tiền
Truong Tien Bridge with the Perfume River, together they become the main landmark of Hue. Talking about bridges in Hue one must think of this bridge first. Two pictures (above and below) were shot at seven years apart. The first one I shot in 1999 with a film camera, Nikon N90. And the next I used a compact digital camera, but a Canon one, not Nikon, as I used to have. Both were shot on gloomy days.

Cầu (Đen) Đông Ba.
Đông Ba bridge takes people from citadel side of the the Gia Hội canal across to the other side. Its life lasted over a hundred year. It may look cheap and ugly to outsider but it is everything to us. It brings us back to our loveliest memories of our youth. The government had dismantled it and put in its place a new modern one.
